I made a banner for a friend to help celebrate the first year of her amazing and super successful small business - Slingshot Coffee. These banners are pretty simple to make with card stock and some metal brads. I need more reasons to make these. Who else has a birthday soon???

My sweet friend got me this flower kit from Target (I think this was an Easter decoration). A quick and easy craft with lots of payoff!
Lovely thing #30:
My husband taught us how to make paper cranes. Then, my sweet friend turned these into a mobile for her soon-to-be-here little girl. It’s so fun to make things with friends. This would be a great family craft, too.
Lovely thing #29:
I despise the feel of raw/rough wood. I will wrap steak knives in my napkin to avoid touching the wooden handles. Thanks to the crafty genius who invented Plastidip, I’m cooking with wooden spoons!
Update: After a few months of use, the Plastidip holds up great in the dishwasher. But, it will melt if left too long against a hot surface.

We didn’t have very many Valentine’s decorations. After a very rough day, I headed to the craft store to get some supplies and crafted my frustrations out all over this garland. WIN!

I convinced Jeff to join me in making some Valentine’s Day decorations. We melted crayon shavings between wax paper and then cut out hearts. Next, I tied them up with some baker’s twine and called it a day. Quick and easy decorations. Jeff even said he “had fun” making these. Win win.

I found some vintage measuring sticks at an estate sale last weekend. Folded them up to make some quick & easy art for our bedroom.

I try to make as many Christmas presents as possible. This was a great project that was inexpensive and pretty quick to complete … and still full of love and sentimental value. Check another present off the list!
